Institutions Vs. Collaboration

I'm going to let Clay Shirky explain my general interests for me. Shirky's TED talk is a concise and compelling introduction to the effects of collaborative technologies. I believe these systems are going to replace most, if not all, of the institutions that make up our world today. Not right away...but not that far off either.
